An acknowledgement to the company Paola Lenti and a product awarded for the high quality of its design. The dining table Kanji, designed by Francesco Rota for Paola Lenti in 2015, has won the Red Dot Award 2016 in the category Product Design. Selected among almost 5,000 candidates by a jury of international experts, Kanji has been awarded as a product of excellence for its high standard of quality. Kanji is an indoor table, available in different large dimensions, made of wood. Its peculiarity is the top, which can be in one piece or have the central part divided in independent elements: it is possible to remove the desired number of elements and replace them with a cutting board made of stoneware or with rectangular trays in different dimensions made of varnished steel. The removed elements can be stored in a compartment existing under the top. The Red Dot Award, this year in its 61st edition, is one of the most soughtafter international acknowledgments. The 2016 edition will culminate in the traditional Red Dot Gala on July 4. After the award ceremony, the winning products will be included in the permanent exhibition of the Red Dot Design Museum Essen.
