Auditorium 1919
Our philosophy is to join technology, functionality and performance with an eye to the identity of customer is our philosophy. Our challenge has been to realize a project made of elementary structures, but only in appearance, that attract the viewers’ attention, where light and architectural volumes blend together and mix up, giving the structure dynamism and lightness.
That thought led to the construction of transparent fabric walls, having been inspired by that incredible material – air pillows like bubbles enclosed within two layers of fluoropolymers film (ETFE).
The aesthetic result is a building that seems to float in thin air thanks to these bubbles. This material is light and almost transparent as glass, easy to place and self-cleaning. The most important feature of this design is the transparency, a polite, delicate transparency, that well fits to a professional, cultural and social high-level environment: the building is permeable from the inside, the façade plays a double effect, sometimes it shows the inside, sometimes it hides, sometimes it reflects.
The hall is able to contain 522 people and is equipped with a double control room, with moving bulwarks which, when necessary, can divide the hall itself into two separate rooms. At the other side of the room there is a large wall, behind the speakers’ desk: HD videos and images can be directly projected on that wall, thanks to a special paint. It is the theme of flexibility, an organized and practical flexibility, the key word of this commitment as well as transparency. Also, the images of night and day meet themselves in this new concept of conference room, because of the low-energy LED lights grid, which wraps the building and which can be handled, at sundown, freely and in a personalized way by creating a sort of light, shape and color show.
Sustainability and comfort outdoor are coupled with the unusual choice of the outsides: water, synonym of health and well-being, whose natural blue effect is promoted by the special coating of PVC pools; Harmony and creativity, identity and future. This is our Auditorium 1919.
