On a steep slope with a view to the Grigna.
The house is situated in a foothill village, above the historic core and the edge of the woods, on a steep slope with a beautiful view towards the Grigna (famous rock climbers). The building regulations provided for the site build-ability prior general framework project. The plan includes three buildings (currently only one is built) that have as main feature the careful integration of the houses with the topography of the place. Two long parallel walls to the line of the ground and two different elevations, secure the rule in which are combined the three volumes. The driveway of every home stops at the lower altitude. The materials established for the three residences are the rock, wood and galvanized iron. The "Polti House" is organized on three levels: first the basement areas vehicular and pedestrians, thermal room and a large shed, to the second, which is also partly basement, living areas and a studio for an elderly relative and the third levels with the sleeping area. In the construction stage, given the presence of a flap of the rock, it is determined to reuse the same for the walls of the building.
