Portello public square and office buildings in team with Topotek 1 for the landscape and square paving design Project and construction: 2003-2012 Pedestrian square with public parking and commercial spaces, three new office buildings Dimensional data: Sq.mt. 27.233 offices, Sq.mt. 1.500 commercial, Sq.mt. 41.000 underground parking, Sq.mt. 17.000 public square The plan for the re-use of the former industrial Portello site in Milan proposes a series of public spaces and pedestrian paths that connect the different parts of the area. These are: a fan-shaped square inclined to connect multiple levels and surrounded by three office buildings placed in front of the former Milan fair, a pedestrian bridge that crosses the existing Viale Serra freeway, a public park surrounded by residential districts and the pedestrian square of the mixed-use shopping center covered by a huge canopy that ends the sequence of public spaces in Piazzale Accursio.
