an architectural and engineering project

A project between visual identity and reading territory, disputed between implicit and explicit analogies match. A project process yet exclusively architectural, an engineering equation, mere coincidences. The new World Headquarters FIBA ​​basketball starts from his DNA. And yet, it is an architectural and engineering object. Founded in Switzerland in 1932, the International Basketball Federation - FIBA ​​in 2008 acquired a plot in Mies near Geneva for its World Headquarters. The Project Group Luscher is named the winner in late 2009 following an architectural competition. The project has convinced by its ability to bounce the image of basketball and FIBA. Home basketball - Headquarters is the place FIBA ​​World Basketball governance. It is the only competent authority for the basketball recognized by the IOC. House of basketball is recognizable for its performance of its 213 federations. Playground - House Basketball is an innovative building, offering ground games tailored to the specific activities of FIBA ​​in a scenography breathing the “basketball.” Corporate identity and territory - From a reading of the territory architectural design: it uses the frame cords wooded landscape stretching from the Jura to Lake Geneva. Implemented in this project structure evokes a hand, visual identity of FIBA. The FIBA ​​World Headquarters scored his identity in a territory consistent with it.
