Gregotti Associati International was founded in 1974 by Vittorio Gregotti. Currently there are three partners, Vittorio Gregotti, Augusto Cagnardi and Michele Reginaldi, supported by twelve associates, a large group of young architects and an efficient and organizational structure. Gregotti Associati International is an architectural design firm that collaborates regularly with engineering firms for the development of projects, and with experts and scholars when forming analysis groups for particularly demanding or complex issues. Since the 1970s there has been a continuous increase in activities. In the course of these years there have been hundreds of projects developed in over 20 countries in Europe, the US, Africa, the Middle East, and Asia. Numerous projects have been realised, such as master plans for big cities, redevelopment plans for urban areas, theaters, stadia, museums, public buildings, curches, university and research centers, banks, companies headquarters, housing districts, commercial and open spaces. Gregotti Associati International has its main offices in Milan and Venice, while temporary offices are often opened in the foreign locations where long-term projects are being carried out so as to facilitate the international scope of projects. A characteristic distinguishing Gregotti Associati International is the design process. Teamwork is the preferred method, which integrates the different specific skills and expertise as part of a collective professional philosophy covering all the design development. Another characteristic lies in the intellectual vocation of the partners, who have always combined the design practice and cultural activities with the publication of books, the editorial direction of various architectural magazines as well as assuming the roles of professors and columnists.
